Our adventures at the OAR convention and downtown Cleveland …

Our team spent some time last week at the Ohio Association of Realtors convention, hosted downtown at the Cleveland convention center, in the heart of the city. Of course the seminars we were involved in provided valuable information that will help us to be better educated in many areas of our professions and ultimately better serve our clients.

The convention also allowed us the opportunity to spend some time downtown during the work day and afterhours. For those who do not live or work downtowns I highly recommend you find time to reacquaint yourself with our great city, Day or night! So often we are comfortable staying close to home and forget (or don’t even realize) the wonderful things happening in downtown Cleveland.

We had an opportunity to grab lunch a couple days in a row; the options for a quick lunch were wonderful. One afternoon we grabbed a quick bite at the Kafeteria by Zach Bruell  on the 3rd floor of 200 Public Square, the former BP Building.  What a great place to find fresh, tasty cuisine.  They offer breakfast lunch and dinner, wine classes in the evenings and everything from sushi to quesadillas at the lunch hour.  It is definitely worth a visit.  Another favorite of the week was The Urban Farmer at 1325 E 6th St.  The restaurant offers amazing cuisine with a great, healthy and environmentally aware concept.  Part of the farm to table trend that many top chefs are embracing, the Urban Farmer Steakhouse  focuses on incorporating local, organic, in season produce, and locally raised/produced dairy and meats.

We enjoyed meeting and networking with other Top Producing Real estate agents and teams from all over the state at our awards dinner where we received the “Pinnacle of Performance” award (the highest level) for our team’s sales performance. That evening we also had a chance to pop over to The 9, one of the newest additions to the downtown scene. THE 9 houses a luxury hotel and apartments, an indoor dog park, world class dining and nightlife and stunning features including a roof top sundeck.  Even full service Heinen’s will be completed shortly. While at THE 9 you feel like you are on vacation- a new unique experience in CLE dining at Adega and drinks at The Vault.  We will definitely be making another trip downtown to investigate the rest of the new urban resort!
