Mellow Mushroom AND Whole Foods COMING SOON to Rocky River, Yay!
If you have spent anytime recently on Detroit Road in Rocky River you probably have noticed the construction (destruction) going on in the previous Fitworks and Ingersoll Hardware locations. Well if you enjoy organic, vegan, gluten free, whole grain… good healthy food, then you’ll be excited to have these too wonderful businesses in River.
The Mellow mushroom is a new restaurant/Pizzeria that serves up delicious, salads, subs, calzones, cold beer and of course awesome pizza with a twist. The menu offers numerous options for vegetarians, vegans, kids, and those on a gluten-free plan are also available. They pride themselves on using only the finest ingredients free of additives, preservatives, hormones etc. Even the to go boxes and paper products are made from 100% recycled materials.
Even though the Mellow mushroom is officially a “friendchise” each Mellow Mushroom location is a unique, one of a kind design, with the same core menu. Each location is locally owned and operated and is designed specifically for the area, taking into account the local trends and flair of the city. The Rocky River location is rumored to be a “Rock-n-Roll” theme, but I guess we will all have to wait and see it unveiled in late November/early December! Whole Foods Market is another fantastic addition heading our way! Whole foods focus is on supplying the finest natural and organic produce, meats, fish, bakery and products available. The store will be moving into the plaza where Minotti’s, Michaels and subway are currently located. The building that previously housed Fitworks (19607 Detroit Rd. Rocky River, OH 44116) has been torn down and a brand new 2 story building will be taking its place. There is no official opening date yet although the hope it that it will be completed in 2015.
